Josh Dobbs is an American football quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers, and was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Dobbs was born on January 26, 1995, in Alpharetta, Georgia. He attended Alpharetta High School, where he was a standout quarterback. Joshua Dobbs was named the Georgia High School Association Player of the Year in 2013.

Dobbs enrolled at the University of Tennessee in 2014. He played four seasons for the Volunteers, and he was a two-time All-SEC selection. Dobbs finished his college career with 9,239 passing yards, 71 passing touchdowns, and 20 rushing touchdowns.

Dobbs was drafted by the Steelers in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons with the Steelers, but he primarily served as a backup quarterback. Dobbs was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020, and he was traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2021.

Dobbs was signed by the Vikings in 2022. He is currently the Vikings’ backup quarterback.
