Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Electoral Officer Mukesh Repswal announced the activation of district-level contact centres by the Election Commission of India (EC), aimed at providing citizens with timely support and resolution for election-related queries and complaints. This initiative is designed to enhance accessibility and ensure a smooth electoral process for all voters.
Accessible Voter Support Services
Citizens can now obtain election-related assistance through multiple channels:
National Voter Helpline (1950)
The National Voter Helpline, accessible by dialing 1950, allows voters to receive information and guidance related to elections.
Book-a-Call with BLO Facility
Through the “Book-a-Call with BLO” feature available on the ECINet App, citizens can directly connect with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and other election officials for personalized assistance.
District Contact Centre Operations
The newly established district contact centres operate on all working days during office hours, providing support in the local language. These centres are designed to respond quickly to voters’ queries and complaints, ensuring effective communication at the grassroots level.
Central Toll-Free Helpline
For nationwide access, voters can also contact the Central Toll-Free Helpline at 1800-11-1950. This service is available daily from 8 am to 8 pm, offering comprehensive election-related information and support.
Transparent Complaint Resolution

Requests submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer, District Election Officer, or Returning Officers are addressed within 48 hours.
Email Support for Direct Communication
Voters can also send grievances or suggestions via email to complaints@eci.gov.in, enabling direct communication with the Election Commission for any election-related concerns.
Encouraging Citizen Engagement
The District Election Officer urged citizens to utilize these services fully to access information, submit suggestions, and receive assistance related to the electoral process. The initiative aims to strengthen transparency, efficiency, and voter engagement across the district.
