New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the exam date for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026. The examination will be held on February 8, 2026, across 132 cities in India and will be conducted in twenty languages. CTET 2026 Registration Process
To apply for CBSE CTET 2026, candidates must visit the official CTET website. The registration process involves several key steps:
- Go to the official website: ctet.nic.in
- Click on the link titled “Apply for CTET 2026.”
- Complete the registration form by entering your personal, academic, and contact details.
- Choose your exam centre, paper (I, II, or both), and preferred language.
- Upload your passport-size photograph and signature as per the prescribed format.
- Pay the application fee online through the available payment options.
- Submit the form, download the confirmation page, and take a printout for future reference.
CTET 2026 Application Fee
The application fee must be paid online. The fee details are as follows:
- General/OBC candidates: ₹1,000 for one paper; ₹1,200 for both papers.
- SC/ST/PwD candidates: ₹500 for one paper; ₹600 for both papers.
CTET 2026 Exam Pattern and Structure
The CTET 2026 exam will consist of two papers, each designed for different teaching levels:
- Paper I: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes I–V (Primary Level).
- Paper II: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes VI–VIII (Upper Primary Level).
Each paper will include 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and there will be no negative marking. The test will assess candidates on subjects such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I & II, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and Social Studies, depending on the paper chosen.
