Cocaine worth Rs 30 crore hidden in a toy, German citizen arrested at IGI Airport

New Delhi: A German citizen of Indian origin was arrested on Thursday evening at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport with about 6 kg of cocaine, which is said to be worth about 30 crore rupees. The accused was traveling from Doha to New Delhi in Indigo Airlines flight number 6E 1308. He had hidden the cocaine in capsules inside two soft toys. The accused had hidden 270 capsules inside the toys.

Regarding the arrest of the German citizen, sources said that based on secret information, the CBI has arrested him with a consignment of six kilograms of cocaine. The accused’s toys were made of thick cloth and foam and cocaine capsules were hidden in the middle of the box. It has come to light that the CBI had received some information from Interpol about such a large quantity of cocaine being brought by this German citizen, after which this action was taken on Thursday.

Two people including a traffic police officer arrested

Let us tell you that a few days ago, the Special Cell of Delhi Police caught two people including a Delhi Traffic Police officer while carrying drugs in a car. They were caught near Delhi’s Jafrabad Metro Station. According to sources, the investigation of this case is in the initial stage. In June, a Delhi court issued a non-bailable warrant against Naresh Kumar, a sub-inspector of the Crime Branch of Delhi Police, who was allegedly running an international narcotics cartel from the capital. He has been absconding since January. However, there is no information about Kumar fleeing from India yet.
