Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association is organizing CLTA-AITA National Series Tennis Tournament for Boy’s & Girl’s under-18 from 23rd to 28th December, 2024 sponsored by HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited in CLTA Tennis Stadium, Sector 10C, Chandigarh.

Akshat Dhull and Parth Prasannakumar Deorukhakar advanced into Quarterfinals in the Boys under-18 singles. 3rd seed Akshat Dhull (CH) upset Nithinbarath KS (KA) in a one sided match 6-1, 6-0. Akshat played in a top form and dominant throughout the match with his aggressive ground stroke to beat Nithinnarath by conceding only one game. In the another match 2nd seed Parth Prasannakumar Deorukhakar (MH) outplayed Heet Kandoriya (GJ) 6-4, 6-0 in straight sets. Parth faced some resistance in 1st set. In the 2nd set Parth raised his level of game and took the 2nd set and match 6-0 without conceding a single game. Swaraj Shailendra Dhamdhere (MH), Tavish Pahwa (HR) and Sreenivas Nikhil Kurapati (KA) also advanced into Quarterfinals.

Qualifier 14th seed Shatakshika Sahayak and Reet Arora entered in Quarterfinals in the Girls under-18 singles. Shatakshika Sahayak (UP) upset 4th seed Sai Ananya Varanasi (TN) 6-4, 7-5. Both players played good level tennis, finally Shatakshika Sahayak used her experience with her cool temperament to beat her opponent. In another upset Qualifier Reet Arora (HR) from 10th seed Dhatri Dave (HR) in a 3 setter marathon match 7-5, 2-6, 6-4. Reet Arora maintained her cool temperament throughout the match and played aggressive game style to beat Dharti in a 3 setter match. 16th seed Jaya Kapoor (UK) blanked Hiya Arvind Kugasia (GJ) 6-0, 6-0.

The Boys and Girls under-18 singles and doubles Quarterfinals round matches will be played at CLTA Complex, Tennis Stadium, Sector 10C, Chandigarh from 10:30 A.M. onwards on Thursday, the 26th December, 2024.
