IBPS Clerk 2025: Exam Timings and Schedule

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has officially scheduled the IBPS Clerk Mains Exam 2025 to be held from November 29 to December 2. This year, the mains examination will take place in one single shift, running from 8:35 AM to 10:35 AM.
All candidates must carry both their IBPS Clerk prelims admit card and mains hall ticket to the examination centre. Essential details such as reporting time and exam slot are clearly printed on the admit card and must be followed strictly.

IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern & Duration

The prelims examination is designed to evaluate candidates through three timed sections. Each section has a fixed duration as shown below:

Prelims Exam Structure

• English Language – 20 minutes
• Numerical Ability – 20 minutes
• Reasoning Ability – 20 minutes
• Total Duration – 60 minutes

IBPS Clerk Mains Exam Timing Structure

The mains exam is more comprehensive and includes four sections with strict sectional timing. Candidates must manage their time efficiently within each segment.

Mains Sectional Timing Breakdown

• General / Financial Awareness – 35 minutes
• General English – 35 minutes
• Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude – 45 minutes
• Quantitative Aptitude – 45 minutes
• Total Duration – 160 minutes

Candidates must adhere to the reporting times assigned to their respective shifts to complete verification and biometric procedures smoothly.

The preliminary examination will be conducted across four shifts each day. The shift timings are as follows:

• Shift 3 – 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM
• Shift 4 – 04:30 PM to 05:30 PM
