Ajay Devgn Continues His Sequel Streak
Actor Ajay Devgn has been exploring sequels this year, following hits like Raid 2 and Son of Sardaar 2. His latest venture, De De Pyaar De 2, has recently hit theatres. Despite high expectations, the film has opened to a modest response at the box office.

- Raid 2, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and starring Devgn alongside Riteish Deshmukh, had an impressive Rs 19.25 crore opening, nearly double its prequel’s Rs 10.04 crore.
- The original De De Pyaar De collected Rs 9.11 crore on its first day, narrowly surpassing its sequel.
Past Collaborations: Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan
Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan last shared the screen in Vikas Bahl’s Shaitaan, a surprise hit of 2024. That film opened to Rs 14.75 crore and went on to gross Rs 147 crore domestically, setting high expectations for this duo’s reunion.
