He was in BJP rally an hour ago, then Ashok Tanwar joined hands with Congress on Rahul Gandhi’s stage

Until the votes are cast, there is always a possibility of the wind changing its direction. This saying is used for voters but it seems to be true for leaders too, at least in the Haryana elections. Ashok Tanwar, who was appealing for votes for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates till about an hour ago, has now joined the Congress.

A few hours before the campaign for Haryana elections ended, Ashok Tanwar joined Congress by reaching Rahul Gandhi’s Jind rally. Ashok Tanwar has also been the president of Haryana Congress. The video of Ashok Tanwar reaching Rahul Gandhi’s stage and joining the party has been posted by Congress from its official handle on social media platform X.

Ashok Tanwar had expressed confidence in victory by posting pictures of a rally held a day earlier in support of BJP candidate Randhir Panihar from Nalwa assembly constituency. He had claimed that the BJP government would be formed for the third time under the leadership of Naib Singh Saini.

Former MP Ashok Tanwar was campaigning in favour of BJP candidates even on the last day of election campaign. About two hours before Rahul Gandhi reached the stage of the rally, he was also on the stage in a rally in support of BJP candidate Ramkumar Gautam from Jind’s Safido assembly seat. Ashok Tanwar had also shared pictures related to this rally from his social media handle. After he joined Congress, these posts have now been deleted.

While sharing the pictures of this rally, Ashok Tanwar had written, “On the last day of election campaign, I addressed the gathering at the Jan Ashirwad Rally organised in favour of BJP candidate Ramkumar Gautam ji from Safidon (Jind) and appealed to make Haryana BJP candidates victorious by pressing the lotus button on October 5. The people of Haryana are going to form a non-stop BJP government for the third time.”
