Mahindra has introduced the updated 2025 versions of its popular Bolero and Bolero Neo SUVs in the Indian market, bringing subtle yet impactful design and feature enhancements. The refreshed lineup retains the vehicles’ rugged appeal while integrating modern touches to elevate the overall driving experience. Pricing for the standard Bolero starts at Rs 7.99 lakh, while the Bolero Neo begins at Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Exterior Updates: Fresh Looks with Signature Toughness
The 2025 Bolero maintains its classic silhouette but receives several styling upgrades to keep it contemporary. At the front, the SUV sports a redesigned grille adorned with chrome slats, complemented by revamped bumpers that now incorporate fog lamps. The vehicle rides on new 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, enhancing its sturdy stance. Additionally, Mahindra has introduced a new Stealth Black paint option to the color palette, adding a sleek, modern choice for buyers.
The Bolero Neo’s exterior tweaks are subtle yet noticeable. It now features a grille accented with chrome inserts and updated headlamps equipped with LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The 16-inch alloy wheels contribute to a more confident road presence. Its bumper design has been refreshed with a silver accent and integrated fog lamps, while the iconic tailgate-mounted spare wheel remains a defining characteristic of the rear.
Interior Enhancements: Comfort Meets Connectivity
Inside the standard Bolero, the cabin receives a premium touch with leatherette seats that elevate comfort. The central infotainment system boasts a 17.8 cm touchscreen interface, paired with steering-mounted controls for ease of access while driving. Ride comfort has been improved significantly thanks to the newly implemented RideFlo suspension setup, promising smoother handling on diverse terrains.
The Bolero Neo takes interior upgrades a step further with a dual-tone beige and black color scheme, creating a more refined and spacious feel. A 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, enhancing connectivity for drivers and passengers alike. Practical features such as a rearview camera and a USB Type-C charging port add convenience for everyday use.
Performance and Driving Dynamics
Under the hood, the Bolero continues to be powered by the reliable 1.5-litre mHawk 75 diesel engine, delivering 75 horsepower and 210 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, ensuring straightforward and durable performance suited for rugged driving conditions.
The Bolero Neo, on the other hand, is equipped with a more powerful 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder mHawk 100 diesel engine that produces 100 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. It also pairs with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Mahindra has enhanced the Neo’s suspension and braking systems to offer a more refined and comfortable driving experience without compromising on the SUV’s tough character.
