Introduction
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the Indian subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, has unveiled the updated editions of its popular motorcycles, the Gixxer SF 250 and Gixxer 250. The new launch primarily introduces refreshed graphics and vibrant colour options, while retaining the proven technical and mechanical features that riders trust.
Engine and Performance
Both motorcycles are powered by a 250cc single-cylinder engine featuring a Single Overhead Camshaft (SOHC) design. This engine delivers 26.5 PS of power at 9,300 rpm and 22.2 Nm of torque at 7,300 rpm, benefiting from Suzuki’s advanced Eco Performance (SEP) technology.
The Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS) ensures smooth, linear acceleration, efficient fuel consumption, high durability, and low maintenance requirements. Built on a lightweight yet rigid chassis, both models provide agile handling, straight-line stability, and rider-friendly ergonomics.
New Colour Options
Gixxer SF 250
The Gixxer SF 250 now comes in Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Glacier White/Metallic Mat Platinum Silver, in addition to the existing Metallic Triton Blue / Pearl Glacier White combination.
Gixxer 250
The Gixxer 250, known for its muscular stance and sporty performance, introduces three new colour variants: Pearl Glacier White / Metallic Mat Platinum Silver, Metallic Triton Blue / Glass Sparkle Black, and Glass Sparkle Black.
Design and Features
According to Mr. Deepak Mutreja, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, SMIPL, “With the refreshed graphics and new colour palette, the Gixxer SF 250 and Gixxer 250 achieve a bold visual presence while maintaining their sporty essence. These motorcycles strike a balance between performance and comfort, appealing to riders seeking a thrilling yet practical riding experience.”
Both motorcycles showcase a European-inspired straight-ahead sports bike design and feature modern enhancements including:
- LED lighting for improved visibility
- Bluetooth-enabled multi-function digital instrument console with Suzuki Ride Connect
- 10-spoke alloy wheels with brushed finish for a premium look
- Suzuki Easy Start System for added convenience
Pricing
The Gixxer SF 250 is priced at ₹1,89,768 (ex-showroom), while the Gixxer 250 carries a price tag of ₹1,81,517 (ex-showroom).
