Kurukshetra: In the Darra Kheda area of Kurukshetra district, at around four o’clock this morning, there was a scream when the roof of the house fell on the family. A seven-year-old girl died tragically from being buried in the debris, while five people were injured. They include parents and three children. After receiving the information about the accident, the police reached the spot and later the dead girl’s body was taken to the mortuary house where it was handed over to the family members after the post-mortem. How the roof fell is also being investigated.
According to the information, Pawan Kumar, who was supporting the family through wages, was sleeping with his family in the room like everyday on Saturday night as well. Suddenly in the morning, the hard roof collapsed and all of them were buried in the debris. When there was a sound like an explosion due to the falling of the roof, the people around woke up from their sleep and started to rescue the people buried in the debris. After pulling everyone out of the wreckage, they were immediately taken to LNJP Civil Hospital, where doctors declared seven-year-old Tanishka dead, while Pawan Kumar’s wife Rani Devi, son Dhruv, Sanya and Chahat were under treatment.
