Learn how to Cook Classic Korean Ramen at home

Here’s a recipe for a classic Korean ramen dish:

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of instant ramen noodles (such as Shin Ramyun or Nongshim)
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • 1 egg
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 teaspoon doenjang (Korean fermented soybean paste)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Kimchi (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Bring 2 ½ cups of water to a boil in a pot.
  2. Add the ramen noodles and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they are soft.
  3. Turn off the heat and add the gochujang, doenjang, sesame oil, and chopped green onions. Stir well to combine.
  4. Crack an egg into the pot and gently poach it in the ramen broth.
  5. Ladle the ramen into a serving bowl. Top with kimchi, if desired.
  6. Enjoy your delicious Korean ramen!

Tips:

  • For a spicier dish, add more gochujang.
  • You can also add other toppings to your liking, such as sliced meat, seaweed, or tofu.
  • If you don’t have doenjang, you can substitute it with soy sauce.
  • You can also cook the egg in a separate pan and add it to the ramen bowl at the end.

Enjoy your delicious Korean ramen!
