In a significant development, Satish Kumar has been appointed as the new General Secretary of the All Contractual Employees Union India (ACEUI), replacing Shiv Murat, who stepped down due to personal commitments. The decision was made during a crucial meeting of the ACEUI’s executive body, held on April 6, 2025, at Shanti Kunj, Chandigarh.
Key Appointments and Decisions
– General Secretary: Satish Kumar, formerly Auditor, takes over as General Secretary.
– Auditor: Gurpreet Singh, previously Cashier, assumes the role of Auditor.
– Cashier: Janardan has been appointed as the new Cashier.
– Executive Body Members: Sanjeev Attri, Anu Kumar, Pramod Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Leem Chand, and Nitin Pant join the executive body
Pending Demands and Future Plans
The union has decided to stage a protest against the Chandigarh administration on May 1, 2025 (Labor Day), to press for the resolution of pending demands related to contractual and outsourced employees.
