CTET 2024 Registration Dates

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level teacher eligibility test conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India. It is mandatory for aspiring teachers to pass the CTET exam to become eligible for teaching jobs from Class 1 to Class 8 in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other schools affiliated to CBSE.

How to Register for CTET Exam

The CTET 2024 syllabus is divided into two papers depending on the level you’re applying to teach: Paper 1 for classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 for classes 6 to 8.

  • Environmental Studies (30 Questions): This section covers environmental awareness, including topics like pollution, conservation, and basic science concepts related to the environment.

CTET Paper 2 (Classes 6 to 8)

  • Child Development and Pedagogy (30 Questions): Similar to Paper 1, this section covers foundational knowledge of child development and pedagogy.
  • Language I & II (30 Questions each): Similar to Paper 1, but the difficulty level will be higher to correspond with upper primary classes.
  • Mathematics/Science or Social Studies/Social Science (60 Questions): You’ll choose either Mathematics/Science or Social Studies/Social Science. Each chosen subject will have 60 questions. The syllabus covers topics relevant to the chosen subject for grades 6 to 8.
