Fighter jet adventure program today
In view of the 92nd foundation day of the Indian Air Force, a fighter jet adventure program has been organized at the Marina today, after 21 years, the flight adventure program is going to be held at Chennai Marina, so lakhs of people have gathered at the Marina since morning to witness it.
Governor Ravi, Chief Minister M K Stalin and Deputy Chief Minister Udayanidhi Stalin, Ministers, Air Force High Officers, High Officers of the Tri-Armies are important dignitaries and many people are present to witness this air show. Hence the security arrangements have been strengthened.
Security arrangement of the police
Also, while the police led by Chennai Metropolitan Police Commissioner Arun are making security arrangements, Marina Kamarajar Road, Rajaji Road, public traffic is prohibited, no vehicles should stop from Marina to Pattinambakkam Srinivasapuram beach area, the Commissioner and Additional Commissioners held a consultation regarding the security arrangements.
Police build-up
Due to the arrival of lakhs of people, the elderly and children have been kept safe by the police, the police are patrolling in plain clothes and 8000 policemen are engaged in security.
Santhom Highway to Sivananda Road
Santhom Highway, Walaja Road, Anniebesant Road, PV Raman Road, Tiruvallikeni Temple Road and Sivananda Roads have made traffic arrangements so that people can reach the Marina Beach without any traffic disruption.
People have been thronging the marina since morning with high towers and observation posts . Also 6500 policemen and 1500 Home Guards are engaged in security. Also, high towers have been erected on the sandy beach and security has been beefed up as more than 15 lakh people are expected to come to watch the aerial adventure show. Police are patrolling around the marina to prevent any untoward incident.
