Krafton India has rolled out the much-anticipated BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) 4.2 update, bringing an array of exciting new features, themed modes, weapons, companions, and gameplay enhancements. The update is scheduled to go live on January 15 at 11:30 IST.
Primewood Genesis Themed Mode: A New Adventure
The Primewood Genesis mode introduces players to a mystical environment dominated by the Tree of Life and the Corrupting Flower, which emits a deadly poison that can eliminate any player on contact. This new mode adds several innovative gameplay elements, including unique items and abilities.
Exciting Items and Abilities
- Golden Fruit: Offers a bulletproof jacket that absorbs damage until depleted and can revive knocked-down teammates.
- Prime Eye: Grants abilities like Barrier, Teleport, and Heal.
- Flora Wings: Allow players to fly across the map freely, opening up new strategic possibilities.
New Companions and Vehicles
The update introduces companion creatures such as the Thorn Scorpion and Cherry Blossom Deer, each equipped with distinct abilities to assist players in battle. These companions add a fresh layer of tactical depth to the game.
Gameplay Enhancements
The 4.2 update also brings improved controls, including:
- Deploying parachutes just meters before landing.
- Enhanced gyroscope-based aiming for smoother, more responsive gameplay.
Metro Royale Updates and New Royale Pass
The update expands beyond the Primewood Genesis mode, updating Metro Royale with the return of the Skyhigh Spectacle mode. A new weapon, the Honey Badger, has also been added, healing players upon eliminating enemies.
Additionally, the new Royale Pass offers players rewards like crate coupons, emotes, and exclusive items, adding more incentive to engage with the latest content.
BGMI x Royal Enfield Collaboration
From January 19, players can ride Royal Enfield motorcycles, including the 350 and Continental GT 650, within BGMI. The collaboration also brings Royal Enfield-themed content and rewards through the SPIN format (January 19–22), featuring items such as:
- Revel 01 Set
- Bullet Line – P90 gun skin
- CrankGuard helmet
- Roadborn Rucksack backpack
Redeem Codes and Bonus Rewards
Players can also take advantage of the latest BGMI redeem codes, unlocking rewards like the Tender Gift, stun grenades, weapon skins, and more, enhancing their in-game experience.
