The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the results of the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) Tier I 2025 on December 18. Candidates who participated in the examination can now access and download their results from the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.
SSC CGL Tier I 2025 Result Highlights
As per the commission’s notification, over 1.3 lakh candidates have successfully cleared the Tier I examination and have been shortlisted for the next phase of the recruitment process. Among them, 6,196 candidates have qualified for the Tier II examination for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO). Additionally, 2,781 candidates have been shortlisted for the Statistical Investigator Grade II position. For other CGL posts, a total of 1,30,418 candidates have qualified.
Results Withheld and Not Processed
The SSC has informed that the results of 49 candidates have been kept on hold due to various reasons such as ongoing litigations and court-related matters. Furthermore, the results of five candidates were not processed as they were either debarred from SSC examinations or their candidature was cancelled or rejected.
Shortlisting for Tier II Examination
Shortlisting for the Tier II examination has been done based on the category-wise marks secured by candidates in the Tier I Computer-Based Test (CBT) 2025. The commission has confirmed that the Tier II examination is scheduled to be conducted in the third week of January 2026.
Normalisation of Marks
Since the Tier I examination was conducted in multiple shifts, the SSC has normalised the marks in line with its prescribed normalisation methodology to ensure fairness and uniformity in evaluation.
SSC CGL Tier I Examination Schedule
The SSC CGL Tier I examination 2025 was held from September 12 to September 26 at various examination centres across India. For candidates who experienced technical difficulties during their initial attempt, a re-examination was conducted on October 14.
