Introduction
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially unveiled the revised examination schedule for the Group D Computer-Based Test (CBT-1). After weeks of uncertainty caused by a legal dispute over candidate eligibility, the Board has now confirmed the new dates, ensuring clarity and convenience for all applicants.
Revised Examination Timeline
Following a final court decision, the Group D CBT-1 will now take place from November 27, 2025, to January 16, 2026. The exam, originally expected to begin on November 17, 2025, was postponed due to a legal case questioning whether the posts should be restricted to ITI-qualified candidates. Once the court ruled that both ITI and Class 10 pass candidates are eligible, the RRB refined and released the updated schedule.
City Intimation Slip Release
The RRB has published the exam city intimation slip for all candidates. These slips are available on the respective regional RRB websites and include essential details such as exam city and—where applicable—the SC/ST free travel authority.
E-Call Letter Availability
Candidates can download their E-call letters four days before their specific exam date. The city intimation link on the official portal, rrbapply.gov.in, also supports retrieval of registration numbers and password resets, making the process smoother for applicants.
Mandatory Aadhaar Authentication
The Board has reinforced strict identity verification measures. Candidates must present their original Aadhaar card or a printed copy with successful e-verification at the exam centre. Biometric verification, authenticated through Aadhaar, will be a mandatory procedure to ensure fairness and transparency.
Official Helpdesk and Advisory
To support candidates, the RRB has launched a dedicated helpdesk service at +91 9513631887, operational from Monday to Saturday between 9 AM and 6 PM. The Board advises candidates to rely exclusively on official RRB websites for accurate updates, stressing that the recruitment process is purely merit-based. Applicants are strongly warned against fraudulent agents or fake job promises.
Direct Access to City Intimation Slip
Candidates can use the official link provided by the RRB to download their city intimation slip directly.
