OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 15R will soon launch in India, following the recent release of the OnePlus 15. The device is expected to run Android 16 with the OxygenOS 16 update, promising a smooth and feature-rich user experience.
Design and Key Features
Unlike its predecessor, the OnePlus 15R will forgo the traditional alert slider in favor of the Plus Key. This multi-functional button allows users to:
- Switch between volume profiles
- Capture photos
- Start video recording
- Utilize Plus Mind to preserve special moments effortlessly
While the OnePlus 13R lacked Hasselblad-branded cameras, it remains uncertain whether the OnePlus 15R will feature OnePlus’ new DetailMax Engine for improved image processing.
Expected Specifications
Though official specifications for India have not yet been released, the OnePlus 15R is expected to mirror the recently launched OnePlus Ace 6 in China.
Display and Durability
The phone is likely to feature:
- 6.83-inch 1.5K LTPS AMOLED display
- 165Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth visuals
- IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance, similar to the OnePlus 15
Camera Setup
The rear camera setup may include:
- 50MP primary sensor with OIS
- 8MP ultra-wide lens
- Front-facing 16MP camera for selfies and video calls
This could indicate a slightly downgraded camera compared to the OnePlus 15, which included a telephoto lens.

In China, the OnePlus Ace 6 starts at 2,599 yuan (~₹32,000), marking a slight increase over its predecessor. With the OnePlus 15 already seeing a price hike, the 15R is expected to launch in India around ₹45,000, up from the previous ₹42,999.
