Admit Card and City Slip Release Schedule
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is set to issue the admit cards and exam city slips for the Group D Computer-Based Test (CBT) a few days before the commencement of the examination. The Group D CBT 2025 is tentatively scheduled to take place from November 17 to December 2025.
As per the official update, the exam city slips will be released 10 days prior to the examination, i.e., November 7, 2025, while the admit cards will be made available seven days before the exam date. Candidates can check and download both documents through the official Chandigarh RRB website — rrbcd.gov.in once they are released.

RRB Group D 2025: Exam Pattern Overview
The CBT examination will last 90 minutes, featuring a total of 100 objective-type questions. Each correct answer will carry one mark, while one-third (â…“) of a mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.
Subjects Included in the Test
The question paper will evaluate candidates’ proficiency in the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- General Intelligence and Reasoning
- General Science
- General Awareness and Current Affairs
This structure is designed to assess a candidate’s analytical ability, reasoning skills, and overall knowledge relevant to the railway sector.
Massive Response: Over 1 Crore Applications Received
The RRB Group D recruitment continues to be one of the largest examinations in India. According to official reports, more than 1.08 crore candidates have applied for Group D posts under CEN 08/2024.
Among all regions, the Mumbai zone recorded the highest number of applicants — 15.59 lakh (15,59,100) candidates in total. For this recruitment drive, 32,438 vacancies have been announced across multiple RRB regions.

The Group D examination is conducted to fill several key positions in the Indian Railways, including:
- Track Maintainer Grade-IV
- Assistant Pointsman
- Technical roles in departments such as Electrical, Mechanical, and Signal & Telecommunication.
