Agra Administration Cancels Dhirendra Shastri’s ‘Dharm Sabha’ Just an Hour Before Start, Cites Crowd Safety Concerns
In a surprising move, the Agra administration cancelled the permission for Baba Bageshwar Pandit Dhirendra Shastri’s Dharm Sabha just an hour before the event was scheduled to begin. The decision was taken due to overwhelming crowd turnout, which raised serious law and order and public safety concerns.
According to officials, the event had official permission for a gathering of around 2,000 people, but more than 10,000 attendees had already reached the venue before the event started. People from nearby districts such as Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, and others had started arriving in large numbers, and the situation was becoming increasingly difficult to manage.

Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar confirmed that the organizers were informed about the cancellation due to the uncontrollable crowd and potential risk to public safety. Dhirendra Shastri was also made aware of the cancellation, and a formal update was sent to the Chief Minister’s Office as well.
This is not the first disruption the event has faced. Earlier, due to heavy rains, the original venue at Targhar had to be shifted to Rajdevam on Fatehabad Road. Despite the last-minute change, organizers had made full preparations at the new location. The event was scheduled to start at 1:00 PM on Saturday, and Shastri was expected to arrive at that time.
However, just before his arrival, news came that the permission for the event had been revoked. People gathered at Rajdevam were left disappointed as they had been waiting eagerly for Dhirendra Shastri’s arrival.
