Chandigarh: GMSSS 33D Chandigarh School is celebrating Education Week to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. During the week-long celebration, a tree plantation drive was carried out in the school premises to promote environmental conservation. Led by Anju Mahajan, in-charge of the event, the school staff and Eco Club members Anamika Sharma, Mamta Poria, Shivani and Vikas Saini participated in the campaign. On this occasion, the school’s Principal Rajendra Kumar, along with the Eco Club members, led the plantation of various medicinal trees, underlining the commitment to environmental health. Apart from this, celebrating the nurturing spirit of motherhood, the students of the school planted trees in honor of mothers under the theme ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’. In this program, the school’s Principal Rajendra Kumar personally gave saplings to the little children and encouraged them to develop their own green spaces.
