Xiaomi has strengthened its presence in the Indian market with the launch of two new devices targeting the mid-range segment: the Redmi Note 15 5G smartphone and the Redmi Pad 2 Pro Android tablet. Both devices feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, promising enhanced performance and efficiency for everyday use.
Redmi Note 15 5G: Cutting-Edge Performance and Features
The Redmi Note 15 5G is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, which Xiaomi claims delivers a 30% improvement in CPU performance and a 10% boost in GPU capabilities compared to its predecessor. Running on Xiaomi HyperOS 3, the device introduces HyperIsland, a feature offering dynamic widgets, floating windows, and quick glance functionality on the display.
Display, Design, and Durability
The smartphone features a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3,200 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports Hydro Touch 2.0, allowing seamless touch input even with wet fingers, and carries TUV Triple Eye Care certification for eye protection. The display is reinforced with an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance and comes with a pre-installed screen guard.
At just 7.35mm thickness and weighing 178 grams, Xiaomi claims the Redmi Note 15 5G is the slimmest Redmi Note device to date. It is available in Black, Mist Purple, and Glacier Blue color options.

The device sports a 108MP primary camera with optical image stabilization, paired with an 8MP secondary sensor. Utilizing Samsung’s HN9 sensor and MasterPixel technology, the smartphone enhances color accuracy, low-light performance, and HDR imaging. It supports 4K video recording and offers multifocal portrait modes.
AI-powered features such as AI Erase and AI Remove Reflection further enhance photo editing and image clarity.

The Redmi Note 15 5G is powered by a 5,520mAh battery with 45W fast charging, with the charger included in the box. Xiaomi states that the device can last up to 1.6 days on a single charge while maintaining battery health for up to five years.
Pricing and Availability
The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at ₹22,999, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model is available for ₹24,999. Sales will begin on 9 January through Xiaomi’s official website, Flipkart, Amazon, and other authorized retail channels in India.
Redmi Pad 2 Pro: Versatile Tablet for Work and Entertainment
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and comes in both Wi-Fi and 5G variants. Pricing starts at ₹24,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage Wi-Fi model. The same configuration with Wi-Fi + 5G is priced at ₹27,999, and the top-end 8GB RAM + 256GB storage Wi-Fi + 5G variant costs ₹29,999.
