NTA Issues JEE Main 2026 Session 1 City Intimation Slip

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially issued the city intimation slip for JEE Main 2026 Session 1. Candidates preparing for the engineering entrance examination can now access and download the slip through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

What Is the JEE Main City Intimation Slip?

The city intimation slip serves as an advance notice for candidates regarding their allotted examination city, reporting time, and general exam-related instructions. It is important to note that this document is not the official admit card. The exact examination centre address and shift details will be provided later through the JEE Main 2026 admit card, which is yet to be released by NTA.

JEE Main 2026 Admit Card Release Timeline

According to the official information bulletin, the admit card for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 is likely to be issued three to four days before the commencement of the examination. However, the National Testing Agency has not confirmed an exact date for the admit card release so far.

JEE Main 2026 Examination Schedule

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination is scheduled to be conducted from January 21 to January 30, 2026. The Session 2 examination will take place between April 2 and April 9, 2026. The exam will be held in two papers, with Paper 1 conducted for BE and BTech courses, and Paper 2 conducted for BArch and BPlanning programmes.

Eligibility for JEE Advanced 2026

Candidates who successfully qualify for JEE Main 2026 will become eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2026 examination. The registration process for JEE Advanced 2026 is expected to begin on April 23 and will continue until May 2. Interested candidates can complete the registration process through the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.
