MG Motor India has officially introduced the mid-cycle refreshed MG Hector, bringing notable updates in design, technology, and features. The MG Hector Facelift has been launched at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs. 11.99 lakh, making it around Rs. 2 lakh more affordable than the outgoing model. Bookings for the updated SUV have commenced nationwide, positioning the Hector as a stronger contender in the mid-size SUV segment.
Exterior Design Updates
The MG Hector Facelift receives subtle yet impactful exterior enhancements. The front now features a redesigned grille with bold hexagonal slats, lending the SUV a more commanding road presence. The bumpers remain unchanged, while black wheel arch claddings and side claddings add a rugged touch. The LED headlamps and DRL modules are carried over from the previous version, ensuring familiarity. Completing the look are newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 215/55 section tyres, along with a shark-fin antenna. MG has also introduced fresh paint options, including Celadon Blue and Pearl White.
Interior Enhancements and Cabin Technology
Inside, the Hector Facelift showcases an all-new dual-tone Urban Tan interior theme, elevating the cabin’s premium appeal. The highlight is the massive 14-inch i-Swipe touchscreen infotainment system, which introduces gesture-based controls. A two-finger swipe adjusts the HVAC settings, while a three-finger gesture manages audio tracks and volume. Additional features include a digital auto key, proximity-based lock and unlock, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, redesigned horizontal AC vents, and an Infinity by Harman sound system. The infotainment system is further supported by a VRAM module, expandable up to 10GB for smoother performance.

The MG Hector Facelift is offered in five-, six-, and seven-seat layouts, catering to a wide range of buyers. The seven-seat configuration is exclusive to the Hector Plus variant, making it ideal for families seeking additional space and flexibility.

MG offers the Hector Facelift in five trim levels: Style, Select Pro, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro. These are spread across seven variants, including four five-seater versions and three seven-seater options. Buyers can choose between a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol manual transmission and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol CVT automatic, ensuring flexibility across driving preferences.
Engine and Performance
Powering the MG Hector Facelift is a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 141 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. This setup balances everyday drivability with highway performance, making it suitable for both urban commutes and long-distance travel. MG has confirmed that details regarding the diesel variant will be announced at a later stage.
Safety and Driver Assistance Features
Safety has been significantly enhanced in the facelifted Hector. The SUV now comes equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, six airbags as standard, and a 360-degree camera for improved visibility and parking convenience.
