Popular gaming and digital entertainment services such as Epic Games Store, Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation Network faced serious operational issues. Many users reported being unable to log in, access online features, or use cloud-based services during the outage period.
Geographical Impact and Peak Outage Time
The outage primarily affected users in the United States, though reports also emerged from other regions, including India. Downdetector data shows that the disruption peaked around 7:00 AM IST on December 25. In India, major cities such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi experienced service interruptions. This incident marks the second AWS outage reported in the current year.

This is not the first time AWS users have faced widespread service disruptions. In October, Amazon’s cloud computing services experienced a global outage that affected users worldwide.
