The Maharashtra government has introduced the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, a scheme aimed at providing financial support to women. Eligible beneficiaries receive ₹1,500 per month directly into their bank accounts. To continue availing of this benefit, women must complete the e-KYC process before December 31st. This initiative targets women aged 21 to 65, ensuring timely financial assistance to empower them economically.
Importance of e-KYC in the Scheme
The government requires Aadhaar-based e-KYC to ensure that benefits reach genuine and eligible women. e-KYC is a safeguard against:
- Fraudulent applications
- Duplicate entries
- Fake beneficiaries
By completing e-KYC, the government can smoothly process monthly direct benefit transfers. Failure to update e-KYC may result in suspension of payments, even if the beneficiary was previously receiving funds.
Step-by-Step Guide to Completing e-KYC
Step 1: Visit the Official Website
Go to the official portal of Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana: https://ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in.
Step 2: Complete e-KYC
- Click on e-KYC on the homepage.
- Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha code.
- Tick the Consent box and click Send OTP.
- Enter the OTP received on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Your e-KYC status will be displayed as “Complete.”
Step 3: Register or Log In
- New users: Register by providing your name, mobile number, Aadhaar number, and bank details.
- Existing users: Log in via Applicant Login.
Ensure that bank details match Aadhaar records to avoid delays in payment.
Step 4: Check Payment Status
After logging in:
- Open Applications Made Earlier.
- Select your approved application and click Payment.
- Verify installment amount, payment date, bank account details, and status (Paid or Pending).
This ensures that the monthly ₹1,500 payment is being credited correctly.
Special December Update: ₹3,000 Expected
Recent reports indicate that the government may transfer ₹3,000 in December. The reason is that the November installment of ₹1,500 has not yet been credited, and December is nearing its end. Consequently, payments for both November and December may be deposited together, benefiting over 2 crore women across Maharashtra.
