Renault Duster 2026: Design and Features Preview

Renault has released the first official teaser of the next-generation Duster for the Indian market, offering fans a sneak peek at the SUV’s refreshed design ahead of its launch scheduled for January 26, 2026. The teaser video begins with a nostalgic look at the original Duster before revealing the new model draped behind a curtain.

Exterior Design Highlights

The teaser showcases several key exterior updates:

• Functional Roof Rails: Chunky and practical, adding to the SUV’s rugged appeal.
• Sculpted Bonnet: Gives the Duster a more aggressive stance.
• Slim LED Indicators: Modernized lighting for enhanced aesthetics.
• Rear LED Light Bar: A horizontal strip at the back replaces traditional tail lamps.
• Rear Wiper & New Logo: Updated branding and practicality combined.
• Dark Blue Finish: A striking new exterior color for the Indian market.

While maintaining a stance similar to its European counterpart, the production-ready model introduces styling tweaks tailored for India. The front end has sharper lines, LED daytime running lights integrated into the headlamp units, and a subtly revised bumper designed to suit local conditions while retaining an upright SUV look.

Side Profile and Wheels

The Duster’s side profile emphasizes robustness with:

• Prominent Character Lines: Adding visual depth and strength.
• Squared Wheel Arches: Paired with thick cladding for a tough look.
• 18-Inch Diamond-Cut Alloy Wheels: Likely featuring a Y-shaped design.

Key elements such as the greenhouse layout and roof rails maintain ties to the Euro-spec model, while the rear design appears completely new, highlighted by a sleek light strip replacing the previous Y-pattern LED tail lamps.

Platform and Manufacturing

The next-gen Duster is built on the Renault-Nissan CMF-B architecture, extensively localized to enable competitive pricing in India. Production will take place at Renault’s Oragadam facility. The platform also allows flexibility for future variants, including a three-row version expected in the next fiscal year.

Inside, the new Duster is expected to closely follow its international counterpart:
