Tata Motors has breathed new life into the legendary Sierra nameplate, reintroducing the SUV that captured hearts in the 1990s. The latest iteration combines contemporary styling with a plush, tech-laden cabin, offering a blend of nostalgia and modern luxury. Before its official debut, the Sierra was showcased at various stages—from concept to pre-production—generating anticipation. Now, with all details officially released, here’s a closer look at what the new Tata Sierra brings to the table.

Tata Sierra: Striking Exterior Design

The new Tata Sierra retains the boxy charm of its predecessor while integrating modern design cues for a contemporary appeal. Its upright stance is complemented by gloss-black accents, LED headlights, and daytime running lights that frame the Tata logo and the “Sierra” lettering prominently. The front bumper features a skid plate and dual fog lamps, emphasizing the SUV’s rugged personality.

Side Profile and Wheels

From the side, the Sierra showcases clean, straight lines, flush-type door handles, and a prominent glass section between the B and C pillars, evoking a sense of heritage. The SUV rides on 19-inch alloy wheels, with protective plastic cladding over the arches, balancing style with practicality.

Rear Design

The rear mirrors the front’s modern aesthetic, featuring a sleek LED light bar spanning the vehicle’s width, seamlessly connecting with the tail lamps to create a sophisticated and contemporary look.

Inside, the Sierra delivers a tech-forward and spacious cabin. The dashboard houses three digital displays: one dedicated to the driver and two for infotainment, allowing seamless content sharing. The four-spoke steering wheel, borrowed from the Tata Curvv, features touch-sensitive controls and an illuminated Tata logo.

The cabin sports a black and grey theme, enhanced by a panoramic sunroof extending to the C-pillar, giving an airy and open feel. The five seats are upholstered in a dual-tone beige and grey palette, each equipped with adjustable headrests and three-point seatbelts for comfort and safety.

Tata Sierra: Advanced Features

The SUV comes loaded with modern amenities, including dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, powered and ventilated front seats, rear sunshades, a 360-degree camera, and Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), ensuring convenience, comfort, and safety for all occupants.

Tata Sierra: Powertrain Options

The new Sierra is expected to launch with Tata’s 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, first revealed at the Auto Expo 2023. This unit produces approximately 170 hp and 280 Nm of torque and will be paired with both manual and automatic transmissions.

Additional Engine Options

Reports suggest that Tata will also offer a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol variant. For diesel enthusiasts, the Sierra will feature a 1.5-litre diesel engine delivering 118 hp and 260 Nm, the same unit used in the Tata Curvv and Nexon, ensuring a balance of efficiency and performance.
