Chandigarh Police Achieve Major Breakthrough in Arresting Proclaimed Offenders

In a significant achievement, the PO & Summon staff of Chandigarh Police, under the guidance of SSP UT Chandigarh and supervision of Dy. SP DCC Ms. Sita Devi, have successfully arrested five proclaimed offenders/absconders.

The arrested individuals include:

1. Aakash, a resident of Dhanas, Chandigarh, who was declared a proclaimed offender in a case related to the Excise Act.
2. Lucky, a resident of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh, who was also declared a proclaimed offender in a case related to the Excise Act.
3. Rajbir Singh, a resident of Yamunanagar, Haryana, who was arrested in a case registered under Section 138 of the NI Act.
4. Rakesh Kumar Verma, a resident of Dera Bassi, Mohali, who was arrested in a case registered under Section 138 of the NI Act.
5. Abdul Rashid, a resident of Nainital, Uttarakhand, who was arrested in a case registered under Section 138 of the NI Act.

All the accused were produced before the respective courts and sent to judicial custody. This achievement demonstrates the commitment of Chandigarh Police to bring offenders to justice and maintain law and order in the city.
