Delhi Students Protest: The case of the death of 3 students due to water logging in the basement of a coaching institute in Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi on Saturday (27 July) has become hot. Hundreds of students have gathered near Karol Bagh Metro Station to protest against this incident.

The students are furious over this incident and a large number of students protested at Karol Bagh metro station. The protesting students raised slogans of ‘We want justice’. Meanwhile, the police is removing the students from the road.

On the other hand, protests are also being held outside the house of Delhi Mayor Shaili Oberoi. ABVP workers are protesting against the coaching mafia and Shaili Oberoi.

Let us tell you that three students preparing for UPSC exam died on Saturday (27 July) due to waterlogging in the basement of Rao IAS Coaching Center after heavy rains in Old Rajendra Nagar area of Central Delhi. According to the Fire Department (DFS), waterlogging was reported in a coaching named ‘Rao IAS Study Center’ at around 7 pm on Saturday evening.

According to a PTI report, the official said that when rescue workers reached the spot, they found the basement filled with water. Officials said that NDRF, local police and fire department personnel recovered three bodies from the spot. The deceased include one student and two girl students.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Delhi) M Harsh Vardhan said, “We received information about waterlogging in the ground floor of a coaching institute at 7 pm on Saturday. The caller said that some people are likely to be trapped there. We are investigating how the entire ground floor got flooded. It seems that the basement got flooded very fast, due to which some people got trapped inside.

Delhi minister Atishi had called the incident unfortunate and said that the culprits will not be spared. Meanwhile, Delhi mayor Shaili Oberoi said, “Some candidates got trapped in a private coaching institute in Rajendra Nagar due to waterlogging yesterday and three of them lost their lives.
