
Municipal Councillors of Zirakpur, along with former MLA NK Sharma, submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, highlighting the city’s longstanding problems and demanding immediate solutions.
The councillors expressed concern over the city’s sanitation, streetlights, roads, and parks, and demanded that the Municipal Corporation take immediate action to address these issues. They also raised questions over the corporation’s handling of the city’s development and the lack of transparency in its functioning.

The memorandum highlighted the need for proper waste management, repair of streetlights, and maintenance of parks. The councillors also demanded that the corporation take action against illegal constructions and encroachments in the city.
The councillors expressed surprise that despite the city’s growth, the Municipal Corporation has failed to provide basic amenities to its residents. They demanded that the corporation prioritize the city’s development and provide transparent and accountable governance.
The memorandum was signed by councillors Yadwinder Sharma, Neha Sharma, Navtej Navin, Kuldeep Kaur, Jagdev Singh, Navjot Singh, Palwinder Kaur, Tejinder Singh, Aarti Sharma, and Dharaminder Sharma.
