Commemorating a Historic Victory
On Monday, December 15, 2025, the Indian Army hosted the Vijay Diwas ‘At Home’ at Army House, New Delhi, commemorating the decisive triumph of the Indian Armed Forces in the 1971 War. The event was graced by the presence of President Droupadi Murmu.
Showcasing Indigenous Technology and Capabilities
The Defence Ministry highlighted that the celebrations featured an extensive display of indigenously developed technologies and specialized capabilities. These exhibits underscored the Indian Army’s ongoing evolution into a modern, self-reliant, and innovative force. The showcased innovations also reflected a strong collaboration between Indian soldiers, engineers, startups, and academic institutions, all working together to develop advanced solutions to strengthen national security.
Homegrown Equipment and Dual-Use Technologies
A diverse range of homegrown equipment and innovations was on display, illustrating the Army’s progress toward becoming a future-ready force. Many of these technologies demonstrated dual-use potential, with applications in disaster response, infrastructure development, and sustainable solutions, according to the Ministry.

The Vijay Diwas celebrations were attended by a distinguished gathering, including 73 Ambassadors and High Commissioners, Gallantry Award recipients, renowned sportspersons, achievers from various fields, and senior leaders from across India.
