Renault Boreal: A Global SUV Set to Enter India

Renault has officially revealed its all-new 7-seater SUV, the Renault Boreal, in international markets, and it’s now gearing up for an Indian debut by mid-2026. Positioned to compete head-on with the XUV700, the Boreal promises a blend of sophistication and innovation. While details for the Indian version remain under wraps, the model is expected to arrive with a price tag ranging between Rs 17 lakh and Rs 26 lakh (on-road).

Expected highlights include a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, ADAS, 360-degree camera, powered and ventilated seats, and premium upholstery for a luxurious driving experience. Under the hood, the SUV is likely to house a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, with a hybrid variant also being considered. Reports suggest that this SUV will hit Indian roads by late 2026, priced between Rs 17 lakh and Rs 26 lakh (on-road).

Hyundai’s New 7-Seater SUV: Expanding Beyond the Alcazar

Hyundai, already known for its Alcazar in the 7-seater category, appears ready to expand its lineup with a completely new 7-seater SUV. While the company has yet to announce an official name or launch timeline, industry insiders expect this model to redefine Hyundai’s presence in the premium SUV market. The upcoming SUV could boast a 12.9-inch infotainment display, digital instrument cluster, Level 2 ADAS, connected car features, and flexible second-row seating options including both captain and bench layouts. Power is expected to come from a 1.5-litre hybrid engine, balancing performance with efficiency. The new Hyundai SUV might debut in 2027, priced between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 27 lakh (on-road).
