TVS Ntorq 150 Is Coming! New Maxi-Scooter to Challenge Yamaha Aerox With All-New Engine & Bold Design — Launching September 1!
The wait is finally over for scooter enthusiasts craving performance and style in a single package. TVS Motor Company is all set to shake up the maxi-scooter segment with the upcoming launch of the TVS Ntorq 150 — a powerful new variant of its hugely successful Ntorq line, scheduled to debut on September 1.
First introduced in 2018, the TVS Ntorq 125 quickly earned a strong following thanks to its sporty aesthetics, smart features, and peppy engine. Now, the company is shifting gears — quite literally — with a larger, more powerful scooter that could rival the likes of the Yamaha Aerox 155.

What Makes the Ntorq 150 So Exciting?
The maxi-scooter category, typically defined by engines above 150cc, has seen limited competition so far. Yamaha’s Aerox 155 currently dominates this space, featuring an engine shared with the YZF-R15. But that’s about to change, as both TVS and Hero MotoCorp prepare to crash the party with their high-capacity scooters — the Ntorq 150 and Hero Xoom 160, respectively — just in time for the festive season.
TVS has kept most specifications under tight wraps, but insiders hint at something truly fresh under the hood.
All-New Engine, Fresh Design, Smart Features
Sources suggest the Ntorq 150 will house a newly developed, liquid-cooled engine, distinct from TVS’s current motorcycle range. Expected to produce 14-16 hp, this motor will be paired with a CVT automatic transmission, promising a balance of urban agility and open-road confidence.
Design-wise, a teaser image reveals a muscular front fascia, complete with full-LED headlamps reminiscent of the Ntorq 125. It is also expected to ride on 14-inch alloy wheels, offering improved stability and grip.
Other expected features include:
- Single-channel ABS for enhanced safety
- Fully digital instrument console
- Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation
- Ride modes and call/SMS alerts
Expected Price & Market Position
TVS is likely to price the Ntorq 150 under ₹1.5 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a strong contender against the Yamaha Aerox 155 — and possibly more accessible to a broader audience.
If all goes according to plan, the TVS Ntorq 150 could redefine expectations for what a premium scooter should offer in terms of performance, tech, and design.
