
Chandigarh, May 14, 2025 – In a significant step towards empowering women, the Nature 9 Foundation organized a program to distribute sewing machines to 15 underprivileged women at the Community Centre in Sector 42. The event was attended by Nature 9 Foundation’s President, Neeraj Sood, and Senior Deputy Mayor of Municipal Corporation, Jasbir Singh Bunty.
Empowering Women through Vocational Training
The foundation’s initiative aims to make women self-reliant by providing them with vocational training and employment opportunities. By distributing sewing machines, the foundation is enabling these women to earn a living from the comfort of their homes.
Awareness on Cyber Frauds
During the program, the Cyber Cell department of Chandigarh Police, represented by Sub-Inspector Jaskiran Kaur and Urvashi, conducted a session to raise awareness about cyber frauds and ways to prevent them. This initiative highlights the importance of educating women about online safety and security.

Selection Process
The beneficiaries were selected through a draw after receiving a large number of applications. The foundation’s officials, including Prem Kaushik and Neha Goyal, were present at the event, along with residents of Sector 42.
