Joint Police Operation Leads to Arrest
In a major law enforcement operation, a Kashmiri doctor was apprehended in Faridabad on Monday, November 10, 2025. Authorities recovered an extensive arsenal from his rented accommodation, including approximately 360 kilograms of explosives suspected to be ammonium nitrate. The operation was executed collaboratively by Faridabad police and the Jammu and Kashmir police.
Accused Identified
The arrested individual has been identified as Muzammil Shakeel, a faculty member at Al-Falaha University. He was also wanted in connection with the display of posters supporting the terror organization Jaish-e-Mohammed in Srinagar, according to police officials.
Weapons and Explosives Recovered
Faridabad Commissioner Satender Kumar Gupta confirmed the seizure of a substantial cache of arms and explosive materials. Items recovered from the premises included:
- Around 360 kilograms of explosives suspected to be ammonium nitrate
- One Carom Cok rifle and two automatic pistols
- 84 cartridges
- Five litres of unidentified chemicals
- 20 timers with batteries
- 14 bags containing additional materials
The police operation underscores the proactive measures being taken to intercept potential threats and maintain public safety.
Investigation Underway
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the case to uncover the full extent of the suspect’s activities and any possible links to extremist organizations.
