Leadership Changes at Sun Pharmaceuticals: A Parallel Shift
Meanwhile, Cipla’s competitor, Sun Pharmaceuticals, is also undergoing significant leadership changes. Kirti Ganorkar has recently taken charge as the managing director following the stepping down of the company’s founder, Dilip Shanghvi. Despite stepping down, Shanghvi will continue his involvement as an executive director and chairperson of the board.
In addition to these shifts, Shanghvi’s son, Aalok Shanghvi, has been named the Chief Operating Officer of Sun Pharma. Aalok is also tasked with overseeing the company’s North American operations after the resignation of Abhah Gandhi, who was previously the President and CEO of the North American business. Meanwhile, Shanghvi’s daughter, Vidhi Shanghvi, will lead the company’s rapidly expanding domestic consumer healthcare division.
