Bihar Cricket Association Concludes ‘Bowlers Ki Khoj’ Talent Hunt in Patna
Patna (Bihar) [India], May 18, 2025: The Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) successfully concluded its ‘Bowlers Ki Khoj’ talent hunt initiative at Moin-ul-Haq Stadium in Patna on Saturday. The event saw participation from over 4,000 aspiring cricketers from districts across Bihar, with the top 20 male and 5 female bowlers being selected for their promising potential.
The talent hunt was evaluated by former Indian cricketers Salil Ankola and Karsan Ghavri, who, along with BCA selectors and coaches, assessed the technical skills and future prospects of the participants. Their expertise played a key role in identifying the most talented bowlers in the state.
The event was graced by the presence of DIG (CID) Bihar Shri Jayant Kant, who was felicitated by BCA Secretary Mr. Ziaul Afreen. Shri Jayant Kant honored the top ten male bowlers with cricket shoes and presented bags to the remaining ten male bowlers. In the women’s category, two players were awarded cricket shoes, while the other three received bags.
Senior BCA officials also attended the event, including Anti-Corruption GM Mr. Ajit Pandey, Director of Cricket Development & Operations Mr. Anand Yalvigi, Player Representative (Men’s) Mr. Pawan, Cricket Operations Manager Mr. A.K. Chandan, and sponsors Mr. Yogesh (Tiger Sports) and Mr. Vijay (AVISA), along with coaches and support staff.
BCA President Mr. Rakesh Tiwari expressed his satisfaction with the success of the initiative, stating, “I’m extremely pleased with how the ‘Bowlers Ki Khoj’ initiative has unfolded. The enthusiasm, discipline, and raw talent displayed by the participants have been truly commendable. This initiative has reaffirmed our belief that Bihar is brimming with cricketing potential, and we remain committed to nurturing this talent.”
