Neeraj Chopra Wins Medal at World Athletics at United States of America
Neeraj Chopra Javelin Highlights from World Athletics Championships 2022:
Neeraj Chopra won silver to become only the second Indian athlete after long jumper Anju Bobby George to win a medal at the senior worlds.
Neeraj Chopra's 2022 World Athletics Championships Final Highlights: Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra made yet another history by becoming only the second Indian and the first male athlete to win a medal at the World Championships by winning silver in the javelin final. Chopra, who went into the competition as a hot medal favourite, produced a best throw of 88.13m to finish second. Legendary long jumper Anju Booby George was the first Indian to win a medal - a bronze - at the 2003 World Championships in Paris. The country, which has won just one medal at the World Championships in three decades, is dreaming of gold in the men's javelin at the World Championships. But Neeraj Chopra had a great day in the grand final. For about an hour, which felt like a whole day, Chopra kept everyone waiting. This wasn't his usual one-off routine. Not a victory march from start to finish like the Olympics, Commonwealth Games and Asian Games.
