Slumdog Millionaire is today's most talked about movie. Whether, its USA or Britain, it has moved everyone liking it. Now, its time for India to watch it in theatres and the movie is going to release on January 22, 2009.
After winning hearts and Golden Globes awards in 4 categories, the movie has placed itself in Oscar nomination under 10 categories. This is the for the first time in the history of Oscars that any movie has been nominated for it's music for it's 3 different songs ('Jai ho', title song, and 'o saaya'). The movie has been nominated for Best director, Best screenplay, Best music, Best sound editing (Tom Sayers), Best Sound Mixing (Ian Tapp, Richard Pryke and Resul Pookutty), Best Cinematography (Anthony Dod Mantle) and Best Film Editing (Chris Dickens).
