Chandigarh, February 03, 2009, News Today Live (http://www.newstodaylive.com) and Reebok today organised Inter School Quiz Contest in Punjab Lalit Kala Bhawan, Sector 16, Chandigarh.
It was seen as an equal opportunity for students from government, private and convent schools to participate and compete with each other in this quiz contest. The government schools (Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Sector 46 and Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School, Sector 18); from Private schools: New Public School (Sec 18) and Moti Ram Arya (Sec 27); from convent schools: St. Soldier International School (Sec 28) took part with their 10 candidates on the floor.
On the behalf of Reebok India, Mr. Rajesh Walia, main distributor for Reebok in Chandigarh graced the occassion as Chief Guest. Other dignitaries from Reebok present were Mr. Naresh Arora, Area Sales Manager of Reebok. Mr. Rajesh Walia presented the awards and trophy to the winner team and runner up teams. He also gifted some gifts from Reebok to all the participants. Speaking on the behalf of this occasion Mr. Walia said that its a nice initiative to let kids participate in such activities. He also gave a message to the school kids to respect their elders and teachers.
Mr. Sandeep Juneja, the organiser for Quiz and Chief of http://www.newstodaylive.com said that by this event News Today Live has come up to the expectations of the kids from various schools. He said that "we are going to help kids from the deprived families in our next events." "We are always up and running for the noble cause and anyone can contact us in such a need." Mr. Juneja also provided iPODs to all the participants after the quiz, so that the participants doesn't lose their charm, who couldn't win the quiz.
Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Sec 46 won the Quiz and Govt. Model Girls Sr. Sec. School Sec 18 stood as first runner ups out of five teams.
Overall, the quiz contest brought out results well. The quiz lasted for about 2 hours.
