Lake Club Lawn Tennis Selection Tournaments

December 13th, 2008 - Lawn Tennis Selection League Tournaments are going on at Lake Club Lawn Tennis courts in Chandigarh. The tournament will lead to selection of 6 groups (2 in each category under 14, under 17, and under 19 years of age). The selected players will represent Chandigarh lawn tennis in New Delhi School Games which will begin in New Delhi on 23rd December.
All the players from Chandigarh schools are participating in these Selection League matches. Mr. Bhatia, the coordinaor of this practice-cum-selection tennis tournament, told us that there will be fair-selection process.
The players were also putting in their sweat in the game to win over some top-seeded players. They could be found battling for their selection in the team so that they could go to New Delhi to make themselves proud presenter of Chandigarh.
