Update your facebook daily
This is a simple thing to do to keep your Facebook profile active. Right at the top of the page there is a place where you can "write something." Usually a comment about what you're doing or thinking. Once a day, or even once every few days, is enough. But update it enough to keep your page interesting..
How to delete Friends in Facebook
After login to your own facebook account. Go to "View my Profile". Now see at the left navigation you might see a list of your Friends. Click at "See All"in the Friends section. Then click at the Friends name you want to delete from your friend's list. Now you will see his/her (your friend's) profile opened up. There will be a button at left navigation extreme bottom "Remove from Friends". Click at this button and you're done with removing your friend from friend's list.
Tips and Tricks
1. Use your primary email to join Facebook so you receive email notifications.
2. Be sure to set your privacy options.
3. Think carefully about public photos and information. Consider what your employer would think of your profile.
4. Search for both people that are currently real life friends and people you have not seen in a while.
5. Have fun using Facebook.
Install Best Facebook Applications
Facebook search the directory for keywords of interest to you. The quality of apps varies greatly and often there are errors (at least I came across them several times when researching this article). When you find an app you like, you can add it to your profile. I added an Art app recently, for example. You can browse a user's apps by clicking the oddly-named 'Boxes' tab on their profile page.
