Delhi 6 | UTV Motion Pictures
& ROMP | Movie Review

Delhi 6, I could easily guess the director of the movie while watching it as the essence of the movie was refreshing. The same director who directed
Rang De Basanti, yes its Rakeysh Om Parkash Mehra .
The movie relates to the daily life in Delhi and especially the Chandni Chowk area. The people of Chandni Chowk, their joys, routines, and sorrows which they share.
Characters do justice to their roles and they absolutely fit into them. Om Puri, the versatile actor, need no remarks for his Punjabi father role. Sonam looks a bit bubbly girl who is chasing
her dream to be Indian Idol, and gets into family jiffs because of this.
Movie has shown the communities, Hindu and Muslim, their love and hate for each other. How communities stay together in India and a small misunderstanding can lead to rational riots.
Movie has been directed well by Rakeysh Om Parkash, the movie gets enlightened with the music by the great A R Rahman. Music makes an impact in the movie and gives it a life.
The sufi song "Arziyan", the love song "Rehna tu", and the already popular "Masakali" all doing well on charts.
Overall rating for the movie is 3.5 out of 5.
